Privacy Policy
FreeHush is an informational site and collects as little as it can get away with.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (that's Google LLC — or Google Ireland Ltd. for anyone reading from the EEA or UK) to learn which free-tool notes actually get read. It counts the pages you open, the site that sent you, a rough city-or-country location, your device and browser type, and how long a visit lasts.
That's the whole haul. GA4 doesn't log or keep your IP address, and Google signals, advertising features and ad personalisation all stay switched off — so those numbers never feed an ad, and nobody gets to buy them.
Does your device's clock put you in Europe — EEA, UK or Swiss time? Then you get asked first, and Google hears nothing until you hit Accept. Everywhere else it starts on, and you can flip it off whenever you like. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control counts as a no from us, unless you click Accept yourself. Changed your mind? Reopen the analytics question. Google explains its side in its privacy policy, and its free opt-out browser add-on shuts GA off on every site at once.
Cookies
Just two, and both belong to the analytics: _ga and _ga_<ID>. They only land once analytics is allowed, hang around for up to 2 years, and get cleared out if you decline later on. Your yes-or-no is remembered by local storage in your browser, not by a cookie — and every page reads just the same with analytics off.
Affiliate redirects
Links beginning with /go/ route to a partner (currently Krisp) via the Impact affiliate network, which may set cookies on the destination to attribute purchases. That happens under the partner's and network's own policies; our redirect adds no tracking of its own. Details in our terms & disclosure.
Write to us and we keep the thread only as long as needed to handle it. No lists, no newsletters-you-never-asked-for.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data — contact crew@freehush.com and we'll respond within the applicable statutory window.
