NVIDIA Broadcast: Unlimited Noise Removal, One Hardware Catch
NVIDIA Broadcast is the most generous tool on this site: no minutes, no caps, no account, no watermark — nothing metered at all. Noise removal, room echo removal and mic/speaker cleanup, running as virtual devices any app can use. The entire price is in the prerequisite: it runs on GeForce RTX graphics cards (RTX 20-series and newer), on Windows. If that describes your machine, install it before you consider paying anyone for noise cancellation. If it doesn't, no download link changes that.

How it holds up
Based on NVIDIA's documentation and the way the app is built — plus what to verify on your own machine:
For calls and streams on an RTX desktop: this is the strongest free option, full stop. The models run on the GPU's dedicated AI hardware, so the filtering is heavyweight without touching your CPU, and it applies to every app at once through the virtual devices.
For gaming while streaming: the one scenario with a real trade-off — the effects share the GPU with your game. NVIDIA has worked on lowering the cost, but on a card that's already sweating, adding effects can shave frame rates.
What to verify yourself: GPU headroom during your heaviest simultaneous load (game + call); whether echo removal helps your specific room compared to your app's own; and Bluetooth headset behaviour, since virtual-device chains occasionally disagree with flaky BT profiles.
Setting it up
- Confirm you have a GeForce RTX GPU (RTX 2060 or later, laptop RTX included).
- Download NVIDIA Broadcast from NVIDIA's site and install.
- In the app's Microphone tab, enable Noise removal (and Room echo removal if you're in a bare room).
- In your meeting or streaming app, choose Microphone (NVIDIA Broadcast) as the input.
- Optionally set Speaker (NVIDIA Broadcast) as output to clean up what you hear too.
When you'll outgrow it
Mostly, you won't — you'll be disqualified instead. The realistic exits:
- You switch to a Mac or a machine without RTX — Broadcast doesn't follow you.
- You need meeting extras — transcription, AI notes, incoming-call cleanup on softphones — which is a different product category, not a Broadcast weakness.
- Your GPU is always maxed — competitive players sometimes prefer a CPU-side or subscription tool to protect frames.

Does your PC qualify? The 60-second check
Broadcast's gate is hardware, checked before anything else: a GeForce RTX 2060, Quadro RTX 3000, TITAN RTX or better, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 10/11 64-bit, and a current NVIDIA driver (R570+). Right-click the desktop → Display settings → Advanced, or just check Task Manager's Performance tab for your GPU's name. Any RTX number ≥ 2060: you're in — install and stop reading. A GTX card: Broadcast won't install, but NVIDIA's older RTX Voice app is patched to run on GTX hardware — rougher, heavier, still free, and only ever downloaded from NVIDIA's own site. No NVIDIA at all: Krisp free runs on any CPU, and it's the honest fallback.
The hidden bill: GPU headroom
Broadcast costs no money and isn't free — it runs its models on the same GPU your games and renders want, so the price is frames and render time. How much depends entirely on your card, which is why we won't print a fake benchmark: run your own 60-second test instead. Note your FPS in a repeatable scene, toggle Broadcast's noise removal on, same scene again — the difference is your real bill. On modern cards it's usually small; on a 2060 juggling a AAA title, you'll want the number before committing. Does NVIDIA Broadcast work on GTX cards?
No — it requires the tensor hardware in RTX cards (20-series onward). On GTX, the app either won't install or won't run its effects; the older 'RTX Voice' workaround era is long past its support life.
Is there a Mac or Linux version?
No. Broadcast is Windows-only. On a Mac, your free-tier options are Krisp Free's daily minutes or the in-app suppression your meeting software ships with.
Does it noticeably slow down games?
It uses a slice of GPU. On most systems the cost is small, but on a card already running at its limit you can lose some frames — test your own worst case with the overlay of your choice.
